That's Gotta Hurt

Poor guy....and he's flying with this thing stuck in him! (well in this picture he is actually standing, duh!)
Reminds me of Ephesians 6:16

Yeah. Most of us do one of a few things...

Some of us fly around so fast that we don't even know that we have been hit, until it drains the life out of us.

Some of us will cover the wound just enough to stop the bleeding, but we walk around with our arrow on display for all to see. We may even have a collection.

Some of us will even break the ends off of the arrow and mend the open wounds, but there is still that shaft inside hindering us from flying at the heights we were intended to.

A few of us will actually take it to the Healer of all hurts, and let Him pull the whole thing out and close up the wounds, knowing that initially it might hurt a little more to have that thing pulled back out of us - surrendering because we realize that it is our only hope of complete healing.

But how many of us live out Ephesians 6:16? How many of us will get up EVERY morning and put on the FULL ARMOR, raising up that shield of faith, so the arrow never even has a chance to touch us?

I think many of us will put on a piece or two, and hope that it gets us by. After all, we don't have time to put it ALL on. We'll take our chances.

I guess the question is:
Do you want to fly? Do you want to soar? Or would you rather sit on that branch with your arrow sticking out of you?

You raised the right questions!
