Weird Week

Where does the time go? Here it is already Friday and it seems like I have got almost nothing done this week.

We're scheduled to shoot a little video over at the train station this afternoon. If I don't show up on Sunday it's because I took the train outa this place.

Later!

Maggie Moo's

For those of you who are in and around Lebanon I wanted to make you aware that Maggie Moo's is now open.

Chris Arnold, Mike Cowart and myself just finished off two shakes and a dish of their great ice cream.

Make sure you give them a try. They are located right across from the Roxy Theatre.

Partnership Applications

Thanks to you guys who have turned in your applications!

For anyone reading this please don't take it as pressure but I want to make sure that you know you need to turn them in.

If you are prayerfully waiting, thats great!

Please read the instructions on the inside front cover or if you have questions you can email us. The reason I am bringing this up is this past week someone told me that they didn't think they needed to do anything other than attend the "Q & A."

If you need another application, just let us know!

Got virb?

Hey, you guys need to get over to virb and set you up an account. Virb is so much better than myspace.

Check it out...www.virb.com and then make us one of your friends!

Looking Back...

Yesterday was a really nice day. I can hardly believe the temperatures and the weather that we are enjoying for this time of the year and the time change has been a great plus too.

I have to admit that I am really glad that "spring break" is over. The last three or so weeks we have really missed some of you guys as a lot of you have been out of town.

These past few Sundays have been really neat. We have seen an amazing amount of fresh new faces at Crossroads, sometimes I am amazed at not only how they heard about us but how far they are driving in from. Let me say thanks to you guys for helping us get the word out. The very best thing that can happen for us is you telling about the great experiences that you're having here.

Make sure and check out our website at www.crossroadslebanon.com. This is the place you can really keep up to date with all thats going on!

Thanks again for all you're doing for the cause of Christ!

What about these temps?

I am really glad we're having some good warm weather. I have to admit that the fact that it's this hot in March really makes me think Al Gore may be up to something!

Frightening isn't it!

Good Friday Morning to You!

Hey, this Sunday we are going to pick back up on our new series "Snapshots."

This week were going to look at the snapshot of compassion. If you're one of those people who think that the Bible is boring, we're going to be taking a look at what some people think is one of those stories that if it were turned into a movie would be for "mature audiences only!"

Make sure and be there this Sunday and have a great day!

I am totally pumped about the games this weekend. If any of you guys have any predictions, I would love to hear from you!

Just leave them under comments....I'm heading home to watch the games!

Yo...What Happened to Spring!

Man it's hot!

I'm doing some serious sweating today....my a/c is not working and those leather seats can cause the old buns to sweat!

I will be gettin' the shorts out in a few days!

Community Groups

If you are interested in being apart of our community group launch, we would like to hear from you.

Please email us at community@crossroadslebanon.com

Thanks

Have a Great Week!

Chris and I were just at Wendy's having a little lunch off of the .99 cent menu (he's saving me money already) when we ran into a couple of people from Crossroads who were headed out on "spring break." We pulled up behind their vehicle and said, "hey, we're coming with you guy's." Needless to say I think we could have gone with them and they wouldn't have had a problem with us tagging along.

For those of you who are enjoying time off, do that....enjoy it. We look forward to seeing you when you get back. Refreshed and ready to get to work!

Sunday Reflections

You can sure tell it is "Spring Break." But in spite of the fact that a bunch of you guys were laying on the beach, we had a really great day.

I am continually amazed at the new visitors that we are having attend and the areas that they are coming from. It's really great to know that you guys are helping us get the word out.

We started our new series "Snapshots" with a look at the snapshot of selflessness. It was great to go back and look closely at the story of the "Good Samaritan."

More later!

"Snapshots" Starts This Sunday

We're starting a brand new series this Sunday titled, "Snapshots: Where are you in the picture?"

Take the time and be there on Sunday at 9 a.m. or 11 a.m. Also you can go to our website and use the evite to invite someone.

See you on Sunday!

Do Tell!

Hey, Easter is just around the corner (April 8) and we need you to begin telling and asking your friends about visiting with us. This is a great time for someone to experience what Crossroads is really like.

This coming weekend we will have some cards that you can give to anyone that you would be interested in inviting. They will be available at the information kiosk.

Hurdles

I was thinking just after lunch today about these guys who run track, the ones who have to run and continuously jump those hurdles before they reach the finish line.

It seems that life is full of hurdles doesn't it. You jump over one and then you look up and there's another one coming. Here's the deal....just remember the finish line is in front of you and what ever you do, keep jumping!

Sweet Spot

Many of you have had some great comments about the message from this past weekend.

The simple fact is that we are very upfront about who God has called Crossroads to be and if you feel that God is calling you to be apart, then we are going to expect you to find the area in which he has gifted you and serve. It's amazing to me how many Christians are always wanting someone else to do it....I mean have you read any of the New Testament?

If you're not sure where or what you're gifted to do, let me take the time and encourage you to try something. Ask someone in leadership where you are needed and give it a go. If that doesn't work then try something else. For some of you it's the only way you will ever find you're sweet spot.

Shorts and Short Sleeves

I think that it is now time to officially break out the shorts and the short sleeve shirts. I'm one of those guys that likes to wait and see if the weather has actually turned and I think it has.

Today marks the first official day of short sleeves for me!

Snow White is still open

Most of you know that I really love the tater tots at Snow White. I was totally blown away when I heard that they would be closing at the end of February, but there is a God and someone came in and took over the business so they are still open!

PTL! We can still have those great tots!

I need your help

If you attended the "Crossroads Q & A" on March 4th, we need to make sure that you get you're application turned back in as soon as possible.

Please make sure that you follow the instructions that are on the inside front cover.

Thanks

Afternoon Reflections

I am back in the office this afternoon doing a little work trying to get a jump on the week. It's amazing how we are starting to get so busy....I knew it was going to happen.

Today I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised. I had totally figured out that the time change would mess some people up and then probably throw off attendance at both services, especially the 9 a.m. service. Man, was I surprised. Both services were better attended than I originally figured they would be.

Both services today were really great and I know I spoke a little longer than normal but it was the only way I could wrap it up, sorry!

Just remember, one body and many members! Find your indispensable role in the body and lets get to work!

Peace.

Today

I'm in the office early this morning before services and was wondering as I was driving in how the time change will affect this mornings services.....I guess it is easy to assume that the 9 a.m. service will be a little light.

This Sunday

This weekend will wind up the series "Three" and if you haven't had the opportunity to be there, I would encourage you to try and make it this Sunday. I can guarantee that you are going to leave this Sunday going, "that's what I love about this place, you never know what to expect!"

For those of you who attended the "Q & A" please make sure and get your partnership application turned in as soon as possible. Make sure that someone in leadership signs it and then they will give it back to you for you to turn in. The instructions are on the inside front cover.

Invite a friend and we'll see you on Sunday!

Round and Round

Sometimes when a day starts out it seems like its going to be great. Thats where the round and round comes in. Remember that old saying, "round and round she goes, and where she stops nobody knows." Well thats how this day is going.....I just hope I end up on my feet, right now I am on my booty (or is it bootie). (clap on, clap off...the clapper. "I've fallen and I can't get up!)

Big Time Reminder

This weekend starts Daylight savings time and for those of you who have trouble remembering, this is your warning!

You will have no excuse for missing church on Sunday......go ahead and set your clocks ahead one hour now, and I do mean now!

No Excuses!

Jam Packed

Today is going to be a really busy day. I arrived at the office at 6 a.m., yes that's right 6 a.m. I have meetings this morning in Nashville and then lunch with some friends and then more meetings and then back to the office to get some work done and I am expecting to be here late.

I knew there was going to come a time when it was going to be like this, busy, busy. Things are kicking around here and we have so much more to do.....

Sunday Reflections

What a great day we had yesterday....it was a little cold, but you couldn't have asked for it to have been any better.

Both services had good attendance and the "Crossroads Q & A" that took place after the second service had nearly one hundred in attendance, about thirty more than we had expected.

I appreciate all of the comments and the excitement that you guys have for what is going on around Crossroads. I can assure you that there are some great things in store ahead.

If you have the partnership application, please take the time to fill it out and have one of the leadership team sign it and get it turned in as soon as possible.

Thanks for all you do! You guys are the best!

Chris is On the Way

Well I just talked with Chris Arnold our new Director of Student Ministries and he's on the way. He should arrive sometime this afternoon and be in attendance at both of our services on Sunday.

Keep him in your prayers as he's driving a rental truck....we all know how that can be, especially me since I use to be the guy who rented them to people.

Peace!

Looks like we're going to be able to do church two weeks in a row.

Imagine that!
