Hey....I had the opportunity today to meet Joe Case who is the Pastor of "Uprising Church" in Bellevue. Now they haven't started having services yet, but when they do I think this would be a great place for some of you to check out!
An interesting footnote to meeting Joe......I went to High School with his wife Pam and if he is half as crazy as she is then this church will be off the hook!
One of the great things about what I do is that I am constantly amazed and just totally blown away about the God who loves us more than anything.
Yesterday......I was reminded again, that God is continually pursuing us and so desires to have a relationship with us that He will go to the ends of the earth to find us. You can't get to far away!
Check out Psalm 139....it should rock your world, no matter where you are!
I have to admit that this past weekend just blew me away.
Since we just opened our doors three weeks ago, I really didn't expect many people to show up this past weekend because of the holiday. Man was I wrong! God just pulled down my drawers and spanked my little booty! Just shows you whose in control.
I have just been watching that great movie about the 1980 Winter Olympics hockey team and man what an unbelievable thing that was that happened to those guys!
It just reminds me how lucky I am and what a great joy it has been to work with all the great people that makes Crossroads what it is. What I have to remember is the best is yet to come!
I just received via email the commercial that Budweiser did which shows some of the armed forces entering an airport concourse and people giving them a standing ovation. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not endorsing drinking or Budweiser, but I do have to admit it does make you stop and think about some of the things that we should really be thankful for!
When we began Crossroads a little over three years ago, we envisioned a place where people could come and feel valued. We envisioned a place where people would just like to hang out and where they would feel comfortable bringing there friends. We envisioned a place where people could come and do life together.
After this past weekend I can see that God new exactly what He was doing!
Hey, this weekend we are going to continue the series "Epic." We'll be going a little deeper in what it means to give up our role in our own story and take on a supporting role in the bigger Story of God.
I hope you can make it and take the time to invite someone.....it's going to be kick'n.
Hey, I wanted to thank all of you who helped us pull off our first services this past Sunday. We couldn't have done it without you!
We know the next few weeks are going to be really fun and challenging. We will be the first to tell you that we haven't got it all figured out, but we sure as heck are going to give it our best.
Several years ago when the dream for Crossroads was birthed, we decided that we were going to leave no stone unturned when it came to technology. We would seek out and hire the best that we could find to fulfill the vision that God has given us.
Over the next few weeks as we continue to get our feet wet we will continue to push the envelope with the great technology mediums that God has provided.
Just remember....the message never changes but the method has too!
Well if you weren't able to attend our first services you really missed out!
We launched with our first series entitled "Epic." It's all about the big story that is going on around us and how we can trade in the roll in our story for a supporting roll in His story. This next week we will be talking more about trading in each of our role and why we should.
Click this link to see some pics......and we want to see you this Sunday!
If your looking to invite someone to our opening services you can click the "Epic" icon on the home page and go to the site where you can click on the "e-vite" and they will automatically be sent an email inviting them to our services.
Lead Pastor, Crossroads.
While I am the Lead Pastor for Crossroads Community Church, the views expressed here are mine and not necessarily theirs, and some of them I just copied from people who really have an idea of what they're doing! Ha!!
